Meet Our Therapists

Racquel Brown-Mortimer, LCSW

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) located and practicing in the State of Florida. I hold both a Bachelor's Degree and Master’s Degree in Social Work and have over 6 years practice experience. I specialize in working with individuals experiencing a variety of life challenges including: mood disorders, substance abuse, and immigration concerns. I understand that seeking therapeutic services is not always an easy choice, but my goal is to provide a “safe and nurturing” environment for clients to feel comfortable expressing concerns and working towards resolution.

If you are experiencing issues related to depression, anxiety, grief and loss, or work life stressors, I am here for you. As a therapist I know the importance of meeting each person where they are at and providing realistic yet goal oriented tools to meet each individual's needs. I believe that providing client-centered skills is an imperative part of therapy. In doing this, clients are able to take the tools learned in their sessions and use them to address not only present but future challenges.

In addition to therapeutic services, I have a passion for assisting individuals experiencing challenges related to immigration. Having personally experienced the US Immigration System with an individual close to me, I understand the complexity, stress, and challenges this process presents in your lives and the lives of those you love most. I have completed in- depth training through The Immigration Evaluation Training Center for Therapist and am able to complete psychological assessment for clients filing for Hardship Waivers, Assylum, and WAWA in the United States.

Whether our time together is brief or over a period of time, I look forward to meeting with you and assisting you on your journey towards positive change!
